Luster at the Asian Art Museum

Luster at the Asian Art Museum

August 2014
With photographer Pak Han

Luster was commissioned by the Asian Art Museum as part of Gorgeous, an exhibit created in collaboration with SFMOMA.

Gorgeous presented 72 uniquely stunning artworks drawn from the collections of the Asian Art Museum and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. There’s often a fine line between attraction and repulsion, but this exhibit drew no lines at all. The Asian Art Museum asked Mugwumpin to help audiences answer the question, “What is ‘gorgeous’ to you?”
